The EU’s plan to achieve climate neutrality by 2050, also known as the European Green Deal, aims to turn environmental challenges into opportunities for European businesses. Innovation and regulatory action are considered key tools to advance this transition and provide sustainable growth. The advent of Horizon Europe, and other big investment initiatives like InvestEU, provide funding opportunities to catalyse a green and sustainable transition. This pushes a need for policy actors, citizens and businesses to be made more aware of the transformative potential the Green Deal presents. Join us at EXPANDEO 2021 on the 17th of June to exchange best practices and turn theory into success stories. On the program, stakeholders from different communities such as agro-insurance, raw materials and insurance will discuss and share experiences on: How climate change delivers opportunities for growth The transformative potential of the European Green Deal The enabling factors and conditions to foster green innovation and growth in Europe How to turn the widespread support for the Green Deal into widespread support for the measures that have to be taken in each community/sector Agenda of the session : Moderator: Emmanuel Pajot, EARSC 11:00-11:30 - Energy Richard Eyers, SHELL Anthony Credoz, TotalEnergies Q&A - 10' 11:30-12:00 - Agro-Insurance Michaela Seewald, EO4I Hansueli Lusti, Swiss Hail Insurance Q&A - 10' 12:00- 12:30 - Raw material Margreet van Marle, EO4RM Brendan Morris, Lisheen Technical & Mining Services Q&A - 10' 12:30 - 13:00 - Insurance Laurent Sabatie, Skyline Partners Christelle Castet, AXA Q&A - 10'
