We are happy to welcome you at EXPANDEO, where Earth Observation providers and users come together to discover market trends and to promote networking and collaboration in different sectors. The main track of this year’s edition will be the EU-funded FIRE project, which seeks to support DG-RTD in the definition of its strategic roadmap and to go further than any previous initiative in promoting European Earth Observation competencies to new potential users.
This is the most ambitious event EARSC has ever organised. Our goal is to provide all participants with lots of different opportunities to help with the development of their company.
On the 16th of June, the FIRE Forum which will gather business and user representatives from six sectors (agriculture, energy, infrastructure, marine, raw materials and urban), to discuss the state of play and challenges for Earth Observation uptake in these sectors. This initiative targets non-space actors, in particular providers of new and innovative services that stand to benefit from EO data and can contribute to EU policy priorities. We will conclude this first day with the EARSC awards Ceremony.
On 17 June, EARSC members are invited to attend the EARSC Annual General Meeting and then we will continue ExpandEO expanding the discussions to include business and user representatives from additional sectors, such as Oil & Gas, Insurance and AI. Additional sessions will cover H2020 projects targeting EO entrepreneurship with PARSEC and Research to Business with e-shape, and address crucial topics such as skill formation and the growth-enhancing effects of the European Green Deal.
