Ecoten Urban Comfort

Description

ECOTEN urban comfort is dedicated to help protect cities to reduce its vulnerability to climate change impacts such as extreme heat events. It employs a technical data-driven approach adapted from the vulnerability framework proposed by the 4th Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) to improve people’s quality of life by supporting city planners and stakeholders of urban development in designing greener, cooler, healthier cities. Officially incorporated in 2018, the company has developed its credibility in the domain of applied urban environmental sciences and the uses of remote sensing and geoinformatics technology. The singularity of our approach gave us the opportunity to deliver projects on measuring and mapping heat vulnerability of cities for the Municipality of Vienna, Austria and Prague, Czechia and also for a Las Vegas based company Fontis Technologies LLC.
