Every year during our anniversary cocktail EARSC gives out EARSC Awards to companies in the Earth Observation sector in 4 different categories.
🛰️ The first and longest running award is the Company Award where we recognize the company considered in that year to have made a significant contribution to the development of the EO Services sector in Europe.
🛰️ The Product Award recognizes the most innovative commercial product which supports sustainable development projects including the implementation of the SDGs at national, regional and/or local levels, and the monitoring and reporting against the global indicator framework.
🛰️ The Partnership Award is granted for an outstanding collaboration “from Research to Market” in public-private partnerships for the Copernicus user-uptake.
🛰️ And the Start-up Award recognizes the company considered in that year to have made a significant impact and a new business model in the EO Services sector in Europe.
Due to the current health situation, we will present this year's EARSC awards in a virtual cocktail event. Grab your drink, tea or coffee of choice and join us for the celebration from the comfiness of your chair! The winners will be announced on our website and social media and they will receive their gifts personally or by post.
EARSC has identified a diverse set of representatives to serve on the Evaluation Panel. The jury reviewed the nominations and selected 3 Finalists for each of the Categories. During the ceremony the winner will be announced
The European EO Services Company Award recognises companies that have successfully developed EO services for a target market and/or made a strong contribution to EU programmes or initiatives (Copernicus, Inspire, ESA etc.).
The winner of the award will be announced during the EARSC Awards ceremony in EXPANDEO, where other EARSC Awards will also be revealed.
The European EO Start up award is dedicated to young startups exhibiting substantial growth (in income and/or personnel) and who have successfully promoted their services or products. Any EO startup younger than 5 years is invited to apply.
EARSC’s “Partnership” competition awards outstanding collaborations in EU Public Private Partnerships dedicated to Copernicus user-uptake. Specifically, Copernicus networks organisations and companies (in partnership) are encouraged to submit their proposal for cooperation or, alternatively, present their past collaboration achievements “from Research to Market”.
The EO product award 2021 recognises a commercial product which actively supports sustainable development projects or the implementation of the SDGs at national, regional and/or local levels. This includes a broad range of sustainable development issues; from ending poverty and hunger to improving health and education, making cities more sustainable, combating climate change, and protecting oceans and forests.
