Robson Mutandi is the Director of the IFAD Southern Africa Hub and is based in Johannesburg South Africa from where he leads IFAD investments in the region. He has championed the applications of technology and innovation (including remote sensing and GIS applications) in development practice. Robson has a PhD in environment and natural resources management from the University of Waterloo in Canada and an MBA (Liverpool). He also holds two Masters Degrees in agricultural economics and development planning from the University of London and the University of Zimbabwe respectively and a postgraduate diploma in remote sensing and GIS applications from ITC in the Netherlands and a first degree in Agriculture (University of Sierra Leone)
